Who we are
Bonnie Studios was founded in Amsterdam from a love for colour, texture and personal expression.
What started as experimenting with different beads and combinations grew into a jewellery brand built around individuality. From our Amsterdam studio, we design pieces that feel effortless to wear and natural to style, jewellery that becomes part of your everyday routine.
We work with high-quality materials such as coral, natural gemstones, howlite, ceramic beads and freshwater pearls. Each stone is carefully selected for its colour intensity and its soft, natural imperfections. No two beads are ever perfectly identical, and that’s exactly the beauty of it.
Our clasps are made from stainless steel and finished with 14K or 18K gold plating for a lasting shine. All materials are chosen to be lightweight, skin-friendly and comfortable enough to wear daily.
Every piece begins with choosing the right beads. We source our materials through carefully selected suppliers and assemble our jewellery in small batches, paying close attention to balance, colour and detail.

In a world where so much feels black, white, or grey we choose colour. Studies show that around 60% of our surroundings are made up of neutral tones. But we believe life is meant to be vibrant, joyful, and full of expression.

How it started
Carlijn grew up in the small town of Laren, in an entrepreneurial family where creativity and jewellery were always part of everyday life. From a young age, she was drawn to colour, craft, and all things beautiful. At eighteen, she moved to Amsterdam, where the city's energy and diversity gave her fresh inspiration. Travelling became a key influence, shaping her ideas and helping her figure out what really mattered to her.
While studying Museology, she developed a deep appreciation for heritage and aesthetics. But it was during a goldsmithing course that something clicked. She realized she wanted to build a jewellery brand — something personal, joyful, and full of colour. That's how Bonnie Studios began, named after the daughter of close friends. What started small has been growing steadily ever since.
Carlijn still designs the pieces herself and often works hands-on in the studio. At the same time, her team is slowly expanding, and so are her ambitions. Bonnie Studios is still evolving — not perfect, but built with care and intention. Carlijn's goal is simple: to create jewellery that makes people feel good. Honest pieces, full of personality, made to be worn and enjoyed.
